The Country General Manager will spearhead efforts to establish a robust framework for country-specific talent acquisition, focusing on evaluating skill availability, validating competencies, assessing labor laws, exploring payment models, and partnering with vendors, staffing agencies, and universities. This strategic role requires an in-depth understanding of the country’s talent landscape, regulatory environment, and cost structures to facilitate effective and compliant talent sourcing and onboarding.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be responsible to create a scalable and compliant talent acquisition strategy that aligns with business goals. This will include:
- Conduct comprehensive research to understand the availability of skills and workforce competencies within the target country.
- Analyze labor laws and compliance requirements concerning crowdsourcing, employment contracts, and workforce engagement.
- Evaluate and recommend cost-effective talent acquisition strategies, including compensation benchmarking and payment models.
- Identify, assess, and establish relationships with local staffing partners, recruitment agencies, and talent vendors.
- Collaborate with universities and educational institutions to tap into emerging talent and build a sustainable talent pipeline.
- Design and implement validation mechanisms to assess and verify skill sets, certifications, and qualifications of talent pools.
- Develop and recommend payment models considering local regulations, taxation policies, and industry standards.
- Create a network of stakeholders, including educational institutions, and professional bodies, to strengthen the talent sourcing ecosystem.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to adapt strategies and ensure compliance.
What we need you to bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, International Relations, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition, HR consultancy, or business development with a focus on in-country talent markets.
- Strong understanding of local labor laws, compliance standards, and talent validation methodologies.
- Expertise in developing and implementing talent validation processes.
- Experience in developing partnerships with educational institutions and staffing partners.
- Expertise in compensation benchmarking, payment processing, and cost-effective hiring strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
